Yesterday we did a fundraiser on on the Astro turf in Butetown. We set up a tournament which wasn’t as well attended as our past tournaments, but it was still a decent tournament. Some of the brothers were flipping the burgers on the BBQ and they did a marvellous job. All together we made £350 which will all go to the somaliland mental health. So I’d like to thank all the youth that attended and contributed, Your money will be going a long way in helping people who are less fortunate. We had 4 teams of 7 and they all played each other once in the initial phase. Then we played third vs fourth and then it was the final. The runners up who had a remarkable run in the tournament and were captained by Saeed Abdi, were unlucky not to win the tournament. Our winners who we’re captained by Mamadou Diallo started of poorly but they sure did finish strongly. Player of the tournament was our brilliant goal keeper Clinton Hamzah, pulling off amazing saves as usual. They got the chemistry right and became stronger as a team as the tournament proceeded.
