displays and over-the-top spectacles and the holiday season is no exception.
Las Vegas may not be the first place you think of for Yuletide family vacation,
but there are tons of family-friendly things to do and see across the valley
during this holiday season. Here are our top 7 FREE Holiday Events happening
across the valley. Also, be sure to check out my other video, “Christmas in Las
Vegas – Top 5 Holiday Activities.” Although these activities cost money,
it’d be well worth it to see them. Number one in our list a Santa’s Wonderland at
the Bass Pro Shops. Bring the whole family to enjoy Santa’s Wonderland event
at the Bass Pro Shops from now until Christmas Eve from 5 to 8 p.m. This is
an event the kids will love as they enjoy tons of activities going out
throughout the wonderland. While you’re there get your free 4×6 photo with Santa
and a free craft. It is recommended that you call ahead of time to ensure that
the line is open. Number two, Sam’s Town Mystic Falls Park! Take
a leisurely stroll day or night in the Mystic Falls Park at Sam’s Town. Mystic
Falls in door park is a holiday haven this time of year. A nine-minute laser
lightshow is a centerpiece of the display
featuring a variety of classic holiday songs. Best of all this show is FREE!
Shows are on at 2:00, 4:00, 6:00, 8:00 and 10:00 pm daily until December 23rd. Number
three, Bellagio Conservatory Holiday Display.
Bellagio’s Conservatory and Botanical Gardens will give locals and tourists a
holiday experience that is unforgettable. Now open until January 6. Take a tour of
an icy kingdom at Bellagio’s Winter Wonderland entitled “Majestic Holiday
Magic”, this year features the return of Queen Bellissima and will take us on an
enchanting journey through her icy Kingdom. Guests will meet the Queen’s
family of polar bears, view her 30-foot castle, walk beneath a horse-drawn
carriage, and gaze upon a 42-foot Christmas tree. Number 4,
Ethel M’s Holiday Cactus Garden. The garden opens daily at 8 a.m. and lights
are on from dusk until 10:00 p.m. nightly.
The garden is now open until January 6. The cactus garden is decorated with
endless strands of lights, creating a sparkly holiday wonderland with a
prickly twist. After gazing in awe over three acres of twinkling cacti, head
inside to the Chocolate Factory where the kids will enjoy not only seeing
their favorite treats being made, but will also see various chocolate houses
and sculptures that look too good to eat! Admission to the factory and garden as
free and Santa may make a special appearance while you’re there.
Number five, Holiday Magic at The LINQ Promenade. The LINQ Promenade is
transformed into a winter wonderland this holiday season, with decorations
carolers, holiday music, and more and is now open until December 31st. The holiday
show featuring singers, dancers, and showgirls will occur
nightly at The LINQ Promenade. Number six, Holiday at The Park. Enjoy the strips
most stunning holiday at the park, open from 4 to 8 p.m. daily from now until
December 31st. Marvel at The Park’s 80-foot holiday tree, the branches
sparkling with icicle lights, and listen to the harmonious sounds of strolling
carolers as you welcome into this winter wonderland. The Park is located on the
Las Vegas Strip in between The Park MGM and the New York New York Hotel and
Casino. Last but not least, number 7, Scuba Santa at the Silverton Aquarium.
It’s open Saturdays and Sundays in December from 12:00 to 1:15 p.m. and
from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m. At the Silverton Casino Hotel Aquarium, visitors can see
Santa dressed up in scuba gear and submerged and Silverton’s 117,000-gallon
aquarium. Santa will be swimming among the 4,000 sharks, stingrays, and tropical
fish this holiday season. The aquarium is FREE to the public,
so bring your kids to take lots of pictures of underwater Santa and his
