Crusader Kings 2 & Europa Universalis 4 – Songs of Yuletide

Storm the winter shores of England
Fa la la la la, la la la lan. Loot and pillage with your warband
Fa la la la la, la la la lan. Celebrate the glorious battle
Fa la la la la, la la la lan. Troll the ancient Yule tide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la lan. In the blaze of London burning,
Fa la la la la, la la la lan. Slay your foes and sing ’til mornin,
Fa la la la la, la la la lan. Follow me in this adventure,
Fa la la la la, la la la lan. While I tell of gold and treasure,
Fa la la la la, la la la lan, Far away on eastern beaches,
Fa la la la la, la la la lan. We will find a home and riches,
Fa la la la la, la la la lan. Off we norsemen sail together,
Fa la la la la, la la la lan. Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la lera. Conquer the World, and rule its lands!
Let earth receive her King; Let every soul, be guided by your hand.
Grand strategy is your game Grand strategy is your game
Grand strategy, grand strategy is your game Conquer the World, your rightful realm!
Lead men to victory! Through fields and floods, rocks, hills and
plains Let slip the dogs of war
Let slip the dogs of war Let slip, let slip, the dogs of war You rule the world with might and grace,
And make your nation grow, People and cultures, united by your hand,
A historical paradox A historical paradox
A historical, ahistorical paradox.

  1. Funny but the crusades was about self defense against those that was attempting to  conquer their lands.  Sad how little people know of our history.

  2. Happy 1 Year Anniversary, Songs of Yuletide!
Remember that you can get this again on steam for free. Links in the description.

  3. MY GOD I laughed so hard when this started playing in-game! Lots of love to Paradox XDXD <3<3 Let's just make this a Paradox Fandom hymn, shall we?

  4. That is amazing! 😀 I heard the songs only today while trying to play as Aztecs in EU4 and I was like wtf, seriously, Aztecs?? Amazing! Love you, oh, love you Paradox 😉

  5. Its funny because In Taberna already is kind of a Christmas carol, the Christmas carol Riu Riu Chiu is almost identical

  6. "A historical paradox" clearly whoever thought of this lyric has the Genius trait. What company boastfully put their own name creatively in the lyrics and we all tip our hats in agreement? I've never been so happily frustrated playing any other game and keep coming back for more.

Not going to lie, when this comes on while I'm playing I am singing loud and powerfully the second part of the song.

  7. The part at 0:38 sounds like a redone part of Crusader Kings 2's "In Taberna". Is the part at 0:48 from EU4?

  8. Heard this song for the first time today after dozing off playing CKII; was at first very confused, then it made me very happy. God bless you Paradox ^^

  9. After ten times, its getting really annoying… its like every second song is this one. this is MADNESS, FALALALA LA LA LA LA (running circles in my room with foaming at the mouth)

  10. For a while this song would be the first to play, then it wouldn't play until the next time i turn the game on. But it doesn't play anymore. Why?

  11. Can you guys make a new one every Christmas?
Hark! The Herald Angels Sing would be a good one. A few verse changes about Medieval days would cool.
    Hark! the herald angels singe
Glory to the newly crowned king
Hacked and killed by his brother
Glory to the newly crowned king!
    ——————————————-
Oh Come, All Ye Faithful would be another good one. A few verse changes of course.
    Oh come, all ye faithful
    Take up cross and sword
    Take up cross and swooooord
    And fight the infidel!

  12. How can the game know when it's Christmas period and only play this when it should be and not during summertime? Can someone explain,I'm really curious

  13. Had forgotten this completely. Then suddenly 1st of December I get pulled in to Christmas spirit in the middle of a holy war (against Christians, need to do some cleansing in northern Europe).

  14. this is playing in the background while i'm expanding into the horn of Africa as the Mamluks… those damn coptics wont stop singing the yuletide carol
