Police, Walmart step in after Christmas gifts stolen from Chicopee home


BARRY: CHICOPEE POLICE TEAMED UP WITH WALMART, TO MAKE CHRISTMAS A LOT BRIGHTER FOR ONE LOCAL FAMILY. CHICOPEE POLICE OFFICER MIKE WILK TOLD 22NEWS – A FAMILY’S APARTMENT WAS BROKEN SUNDAY NIGHT. THE THIEF GOT AWAY WITH CHRISTMAS PRESENTS MEANT FOR THEIR THREE CHILDREN, INCLUDING A NINTENDO GAME SYSTEM AND TELIVISION SET. WILK CONTACTED THE MANAGER OF THE CHICOPEE WALMART, WHO DONATED A NINTENDO SWITCH GAME SYSTEM, A TV, AND VIDEO GAMES FOR THE KIDS. THEY THEN DELIVERED THE REPLACEMENT GIFTS TO THE FAMILY, JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS.
