Rob “Splatt” Appelblatt – “Afghanistan on Christmas Eve” – Thank You Troops!

There’s a place out where the bombs and
missiles fall It’s where they’ve deployed me. I’m six months over here, by the end of this hard year Afghanistan on the night of Christmas Eve. Theres’ a full moon among these stars tonight. The same you’ll see… my dear. But here the bullets fly… The Taliban is hard to find. I can’t wait to get the hell, outta here. Put my silver star, on the tree by where you are. Underneath leave some gifts from me. Tell the kids it won’t be long, till their daddy makes it home. I pray to GOD I’ll make it home safely. ( ** We miss you and we thank you for your service ** ) Oh the friends I’ve made are all bold and
brave, on this mountainous topography. I’ve lost a brother here, an IED had blasted near there are some things babe I can never unsee. Put my silver star, on the tree by where you are. Underneath leave some gifts from me. Tell the kids it won’t be long, till their daddy makes it home. So pray to GOD I make it home safely. ( ** Happy Holidays to our troops. We appreciate your service, sacrifice, and for protecting our freedom. We pray for your quick and safe return. ** ) There’s a place out where these bombs and missiles fall. It’s where they’ve deployed me. I’m six months over here… by the end of this hard year. Afghanistan on the night of Christmas Eve. Oh for 18 Christmas eves…. we’ve been fighting overseas. Afghanistan again on Christmas Eve.
